How much does an engagement session cost in Ottawa?

Engagement, pre-wedding and post-wedding sessions start at $499 for a minimum two-hour booking with unlimited photographs, shot on location in Ottawa or Gatineau. All prices are in Canadian dollars.

Where are the best places for engagement photos in Ottawa?

Parliament Hill and the Ottawa River lookouts at golden hour, the Rideau Canal, Major's Hill Park, the ByWard Market, the Arboretum and Gatineau Park are favourites. The journal post "10 best Ottawa locations for engagement and couple photos" goes through each one.

Do you shoot pre-wedding sessions for Indian and South Asian couples?

Yes. Rudraksha grew up in Jabalpur, India, shoots in English and Hindi, and is at home with traditional outfits, multi-day celebrations and pre-wedding shoots.

Can we book the engagement session with the wedding?

Yes. Many couples book both together so the engagement session doubles as a rehearsal. Both are quoted as one project.

When will we get the photos?

Edited photos are delivered within one week of the shoot, in a private online gallery hosted on the studio's own server. Quick 48-hour delivery is available as a $149 add-on.

How do I book and pay?

Book online at rudqp.com/client: verify your email, choose what you want captured, and an exact quote arrives by email, usually within one business day. A 50% deposit by e-Transfer or cash secures your date; the balance is paid on the shoot day. Deposits are non-refundable on cancellation.
