Ottawa Indian and South Asian wedding photographerEvery ceremony, every colour.

Haldi, mehndi, sangeet, baraat, pheras and the reception. Photographed by someone who grew up inside these weddings.

I am from Jabalpur, India, and I shoot in English and Hindi. I know when the haldi gets messy, when the baraat actually leaves, which aunties to keep an eye on and where to stand for the pheras without being in anyone's way. Multi-day celebrations are planned together and quoted as one project, with unlimited photographs on every day.

Reviews

What clients say.

From couples and families I have photographed. 5.0 on Google.

★★★★★

Booking him as our wedding photographer was hands-down the best decision we made for our big day! He has an incredible eye for detail and perfectly captured everything from the grand moments to the quiet, emotional glances. His warm and calming nature was a breath of fresh air amidst the wedding chaos; he made us and our guests feel entirely at ease. He used the venue's lighting and architecture to create unique, cinematic art. We will treasure these photos forever!

One of the greatest people and photographers we have ever met. He did the best photo shoot at my brother's wedding and it was a blast. Very patient, and he gave his best in capturing the beautiful moments of us.

FAQ

Things people ask before they book.

Anything else, just ask.

How much does Indian wedding photography cost in Ottawa?

Wedding coverage is $749 for a three-hour minimum and $249 per extra hour, with unlimited photographs. Each event (haldi, mehndi, sangeet, ceremony, reception) is counted on its own and the whole celebration is quoted as one project. A second photographer is $349. All prices are in Canadian dollars.

Do you cover multi-day weddings?

Yes. Rudraksha grew up in Jabalpur, India, shoots in English and Hindi, and is at home with multi-day celebrations, ceremonies and receptions across Ottawa, Gatineau and beyond.

Do you photograph Hindu, Sikh, Muslim and Christian ceremonies?

Yes. Every tradition is planned together beforehand so the important rituals are covered respectfully and nothing is missed.

Do we need a second photographer?

For a large baraat, a big reception or when the bride and groom get ready in different places, a second photographer ($349) makes sure nothing is missed. For smaller events one photographer is usually enough.

When will we get the photos?

Edited photos from every event are delivered within one week, in one private online gallery hosted on the studio's own server, easy to share with both families. Quick 48-hour delivery is available as a $149 add-on.

How do I book and pay?

Book online at rudqp.com/client: verify your email, choose what you want captured, and an exact quote arrives by email, usually within one business day. Wedding dates book first, so earlier is better. A 50% deposit by e-Transfer or cash secures your dates; the balance is paid on the shoot day. Deposits are non-refundable on cancellation.
